Few British summer traditions capture the season quite like a day at Cowdray. Set amongst the rolling landscapes of the South Downs, the estate comes alive each year with world-class polo, countryside hospitality and unforgettable moments shared with family and friends.
As an official partner of Cowdray, Saicho is proud to be part of these celebrations, with our sparkling teas served throughout the estate, from the Clubhouse and Members' Enclosure to relaxed moments enjoyed between matches. Throughout the season, guests discovered our collection in beautifully designed Saicho trolleys, adorned with intricate birds and florals created by renowned paper artist Nicola Dobrowolski, bringing together art, nature and tea in one elegant experience.

Opening the Season with the Midhurst Town Cup
The summer began with the much-loved Midhurst Town Cup, welcoming thousands of spectators to Cowdray for the opening weekend of the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup.
With six thousand visitors enjoying a day of polo, picnics and sunshine, the event once again demonstrated why Cowdray remains one of Britain's most iconic sporting destinations. It was the perfect introduction to the season, where guests could discover Saicho while soaking up the atmosphere from the sidelines.

The Road to the Gold Cup
As the championship progressed, anticipation continued to build with the official Gold Cup Draw, setting the stage for weeks of exceptional polo.
Nineteen teams from across the world competed throughout the tournament, with every match bringing its own moments of excitement as players battled for a place in the final. Alongside the action on the field, visitors enjoyed everything Cowdray has to offer, from exceptional hospitality and dining to leisurely afternoons spent exploring the estate with a glass of sparkling tea in hand.

Gold Cup Day
The season reached its spectacular conclusion at the St. Regis Cowdray Gold Cup Final, one of the highlights of the British sporting calendar.
From the first chukka to the final presentation, the day was a celebration of sporting excellence, craftsmanship and countryside elegance. Guests gathered across the estate to enjoy championship polo, long summer lunches and beautifully curated hospitality, with Saicho served throughout the day as a refreshing alternative for every occasion.
Whether enjoyed chilled on its own or paired with seasonal dishes, our single origin sparkling teas offered a moment of balance amidst the excitement of the day, perfectly reflecting the thoughtful pace of a British summer celebration.

Celebrating Together
Our partnership with Cowdray reflects a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
Throughout the season, our signature Saicho trolleys became a familiar sight across the estate, inviting guests to discover our sparkling teas amongst delicate illustrations of birds and flowers. Inspired by nature and artistry, they perfectly complemented the beauty of the Cowdray landscape and the relaxed elegance of each event.
As another remarkable polo season comes to a close, we'd like to thank everyone at Cowdray for their warm hospitality, and all those who enjoyed a glass of Saicho with us over the summer.
We look forward to returning next season to celebrate more moments worth savouring together.
