Introducing Minami Sayaka

Introducing Minami Sayaka

This autumn, The Rare Tea Collection returns with Minami Sayaka: a rare spring tea from the mountains of Gokase, Kyushu, brought to life as a sparkling oolong.

It is grown by the Miyazaki family, who have farmed tea in Gokase since 1930, and made as an oolong after four years of work by their tea master, Akira Miyazaki.

Minami Sayaka is floral, bright and quietly complex, with notes of gardenia, nashi pear and marzipan, finishing with a delicate hint of almond blossom.

At the Table

Created for the table, Minami Sayaka has already found its place alongside some of London and Hong Kong’s most considered dining rooms.

Now being poured at places like The Ledbury, Umu and The Chancery Rosewood in London, and at Rosewood Hong Kong and more.

It will also be available online and at Harrods, with a very limited number of bottles arriving at Hong Kong International Airport.

A Limited Edition

Minami Sayaka is presented in a 750ml bottle within the signature illustrated Rare Tea Collection gift box.

With a limited allocation, this is a rare opportunity to experience one of the teas at the heart of our latest collection.

The Rare Tea Collection

The Rare Tea Collection is a limited-edition Saicho series that follows tea to its origins. The previous edition, Sixty Stone Mountain, was a rare honey black tea from a small, high-altitude plot in Hualien County, Taiwan. Minami Sayaka continues the series from the highlands of Kyushu.
